Ms. Nataša Mikuš Žigman currently works as the Secretary of State in the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, Croatia.
She graduated German and English studies at the Zagreb University of Humanities, obtained an M.A. degree in Contemporary European Studies at the Sussex European Institute in Brighton, and holds a postgraduate degree in Economics of the European Union from the Faculty of Economics and Business in Zagreb.
Ms. Mikuš Žigman started her career in the Ministry of European Integration where she actively worked on the establishment of the EU pre-accession funds system. As Deputy State Secretary in the Central Office for Development Strategy and Coordination of EU Funds, she was responsible for strategic planning and EU funds management. She led the Working Group for EU Negotiations in Chapter 22 – Regional Policy and Coordination of Structural Instruments. Subsequently, she served as Director of the Central Finance and Contracting Agency for EU Programmes and Projects.
In the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development, her responsibilities include the EU internal market, public procurement, economic reform agenda, as well as implementation of EU support for private sector under the Cohesion Policy.
