Panel: European Structural and Investment Funds and the Western Balkans
Aleksandar Andrija Pejović has more than 22 years of project management and institutional building experience in international affairs, European affairs, government initiatives, strategy drafting and public administration reform, EU and other projects on various positions as Minister of European Affairs, Chief Negotiator, State Secretary for European Integration, National Coordinator for the Instrument for Pre-Accession, Ambassador of Montenegro to the EU in Brussels and the ambassador to the OPCW, as well as a diplomat holding key positions in the Montenegrin Ministry of Foreign Affairs and embassies in Slovenia and North Macedonia.
He has more than 10 years of government leadership experience by leading a number of Government bodies, such as Negotiation Team, National Commission for European Integration, College for Negotiations, Rule of Law Council, PAR Council etc. Mr. Pejović has been involved in substantial dialogues and communication with the EU institutions and Member States conducting dialogue and negotiating his country’s path towards membership. He also has substantial expert experience with more than three years of team leadership and a dozen of non-key expert missions on EU-financed projects in the past four years.
He has a PhD from the Belgrade Law Faculty, has written a number of books and articles, a novel and is doing clay modelling. He is a member of Mensa Montenegro and an Honorary Captain of the Boka Navy.
