István Hoffman PhD., dr. habil. (1981) is a Full Professor of the Department of Administrative Law,
Faculty of Law, Eötvös Loránd University (Budapest, Hungary), a Professor of
University at the Marie Curie-Skłodowska University (Lublin, Poland), Faculty
of Law and Administration and a Senior Research Fellow of Centre for Social
Sciences (Budapest, Hungary), Institute for Legal Studies. He earned his
master’s degree (dr. iur.) in Law in 2004. He wrote his PhD thesis on the
provision of local public services, and it was defended in 2008. He got his
habilitation in 2013 and was promoted to Full Professor in 2019. His major
research fields are the provision and financial issues of local public
services, regional development, comparative municipal law and disability law.
He had more than 320 publication, almost 50 are in English language, and he has
22 Scopus-indexed articles (12 pf them has been published in Q1 or Q2
journals).
