Marjan Nikolov has more than 20 years of professional consulting experience and is also teaching at the International Slavic University in Sveti Nikole. Marjan is a President of the Center for economic analyses – Skopje which is a North Macedonia based research think tank. Marjan has participated in many donor and Macedonian government projects in the area of fiscal decentralization, macroeconomics, environmental and energy economics.

Marjan holds a PhD degree from the University of Ljubljana in the area of measuring fiscal decentralization. Marjan is author of a chapter in the book Fiscal decentralisation, local government, and policy reversals in South-eastern Europe, edited by William Bartlett, Sanja Kmezić and Katarina Đulić and published by Palgrave, Macmillan. Also, Marjan is author of a chapter in the book Multi-level Finance and the Euro Crisis: Causes and Effects, edited by Ehtisham Ahmad, Massimo Bordignon, and Giorgio Brosio and published by Edward Elgar.
